When we conceived the proposal for this dossier, we knew we were facing a great challenge: the work of Simon Clarke is very little known in Latin America, even within Marxist circles. Although his work ranged across a variety of fields and was widely recognized in Europe, his writings were only exceptionally disseminated on our continent—except in the United States. Perhaps this is because only a small number of his texts were translated into Spanish, and almost none into Portuguese. Hence the title of the dossier, rather than an assertion, should be understood as a provocation and a question: Simon Clarke in Latin America?!
