Abstract

Rebellious movements in apparently distant geographies often reflect about common questions. This paper explores how the Zapatista and the Kurdish Liberation movements not only have asked similar questions, but have come to similar answers, even though the contexts of their rebellions and of capitalist conditions impose differences. The coinciding reflections include the questions of the Nation-State and emancipation, culture and ethnicity, and autonomy. The research is mostly based on documents produced by these movements.
