Far removed from the conventions of administrative heritage conservation, this book edited by anthropologist Mireia Viladevall has a twofold purpose: to reflect, from different perspectives and experiences, on city, heritage and management, and to deepen our understanding of “our city” (whichever it may be) and its values, making us understand that city dwellers are also “makers, heirs, beneficiaries and custodians of a heritage without which it is impossible to think of ourselves”.
