Abstract

The article raises the question—for many analysts forgotten or definitively superseded—of revolution in the context of globalization. It argues that capitalist globalization, far from eliminating the contradictions that gave rise to revolution as part of capitalist modernity, has prepared new ground for the outbreak of radical social movements. A new relationship between domination, resistance and violence is taking shape under globalization.
