The process of organized social resistance against exclusionary globalization was built during the 1990s, took a qualitative leap in Seattle, and found expression in the World Social Forum in Porto Alegre and then in Genoa; but it was displaced (and mediated) by the media through the current military conflict staged after the serious attacks of September 11 in the United States.
