Abstract

The promotion of terrorism to the rank of world enemy number one is related to so-called globalization and to changes in the structure of the State system. Neoliberal globalization should be understood as a strategy aimed at overcoming the crisis of the 1970s by destroying the political structures of the Keynesian welfare State and thus radically changing relations of production and distribution in favor of capital.
