In Genealogy of Racism, Michel Foucault wrote that for a long time historical discourse was akin to the rituals of power, and that the traditional function of history was to proclaim the right of power and intensify its splendor. From this starting point, the article examines the double standards with which terrorism is judged and the dark side of history that official discourse conceals.
