Gloria Marroni’s research in the Atlixco region of Puebla—in the communities of Huaquechula, San Juan Tejaluca, San Pedro Benito Juárez and Tezonteapan de Bonilla—offers a macro- and micro-sociological analysis centered on households and the work of peasant women, including an analysis of rural labor markets in the area and the role of women, as well as resistance to change in gender relations and in the subjectivity of men and women.
