Abstract

The author evokes his personal experience in the Marxist left, linling it to a reflection about the panorama following the fall of the Soviet Union and the new correlation of forces; he cites Spain in the fifteenth century, when it was said, “god is with the Saracens when they outnumber the Christians”.
