Abstract

This is the title of the book edited by Eduardo Bautista Martínez and Fausto Díaz Montes which, through an editorial and academic effort by the Institute of Social Research of UABJO and various work teams, takes us into discussions of politics in Oaxaca within the contemporary national scenario. Across fifteen texts, the book sets out several debates from different political and academic perspectives on the meanings of politics and, more specifically, of political participation in Mexico, citizen participation, civil society, political parties and the emergence of old and new social movements and actors.
