Abstract

Introduction to the dossier devoted to one of the most prominent ways of community life in recent years: communality. The writings on this theorization do not stem from their authors’ conceptual imagination but seek to express in writing the way of life shared by the Indigenous peoples of the Mixe and Juárez highlands of Oaxaca, building on the formulation begun in the 1980s by Floriberto Díaz Gómez and Jaime Martínez Luna.
