Introduction

Abstract

This first issue of the electronic version of Bajo el Volcán is a collection of articles addressing diverse topics, what in publishing is known as a miscellany. Most of the contributions come from students of the Graduate Program in Sociology at ICSyH-BUAP and some from external contributors. The issue opens with a section devoted to critical theory, continues with a section on art, aesthetics and religion, and also includes a study on memory and heritage, an interview and a book review.
