Youth resistances: Creative tactics

The questions—What is youth? Who are young people? How are they subjectivated? Does youth subjectivation have its own specificity?—and many more imply that the emergence of the youth subject is rather recent, modern if you will, and is not defined solely by age. It is defined by the emergence of a vital moment that separates childhood from adulthood, something that occurs in a clearly defined way only in modern societies, above all with the transformation of institutions such as the family and the emergence of educational formative processes, that is, the school apparatus and its function of producing civically and technically equipped subjects (Feixa, 1999; Foucault, 2017; Moreno, 2021). Youth is the unexpected result of these processes, which we can identify as socialization.
