Abstract

Faced with the obligation to celebrate the centenary of the Revolution and the bicentenary of the start of the Revolution of Independence, the Pan government is in an uncomfortable position. Can a rightwing government celebrate a revolution or, even worse, two revolutions? In this article we try to see how, from the perspective of power, but also that of historiography, the effect is produced of displaying the uselessness of political action in the form of revolution. This effect is intensified and multiplied in moments of celebration.
