Our tribute to Pedro F. Hernández Ornelas

Abstract

In November 2010, as part of the commemorative activities for the centennial of the Mexican Revolution, our dear colleague and friend from the Graduate Program in Sociology of our Institute, Dr. Pedro Hernández Ornelas, was awarded the distinction of Exemplary Poblano. This recognition was granted to him and to seven other distinguished citizens of our state, as well as to an environmental organization, by the Puebla 2010 Commemorative Commission. The recognition is significant because, strictly speaking, Pedro was born in León, Guanajuato, where he completed his primary, secondary, preparatory and classical studies.
