Raquel Gutiérrez Aguilar’s Los ritmos del Pachakuti. Levantamiento y movilización en Bolivia (2000-2005) was first written as a doctoral dissertation in Sociology at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. It does not seek to be one more contribution to social movement theory; rather, it aims to contribute to the understanding of recent social struggles in Bolivia as the unfolding of social antagonisms from the Marxist tradition, in dialogue with the Seminar on Subjectivity and Critical Theory at ICSyH.
