It is difficult to convey in a few pages the enormity of the debates and reflections that a whole week in the company of Silvia Federici awakened among students and professors at UNAM. Rarely in life does one have the opportunity to engage with thought as lucid and vital as Silvia’s—so much so that any effort to summarize in a few words the richness and transformative force of what was thought and discussed in those days would, in my view, be rather futile. For that reason I gave up from the outset on taking up such a challenge in a text as brief as this one, and set myself a much simpler and more attainable exercise.
