Abstract

The turn of the century has been a milestone for reflection on the major problems that persist or worsen for humanity, especially in the analysis of rural societies. In this article I pursue lines of reflection related to my teaching of Rural Sociology in the Graduate Program in Sociology at the Instituto de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades, Universidad Autónoma de Puebla.
