Abstract

Introduction to issue 21 of Bajo el Volcán. Drawing on Rancière’s reflection on intellectuals’ journeys “to the land of the people” and on Lukács’s question about who can unveil what capital conceals in its social relations, the Editorial Board introduces the texts in this issue, devoted to critical theory, autonomy, cognitive capitalism, Marx’s humanism, emancipation, and struggles for territory and the commons.
