Abstract

Sergio Tischler’s historical study, Imagen y dialéctica. Mario Payeras y los interiores de una constelación revolucionaria, is written in dialogue with two key books by Mario Payeras: Los días de la selva (1980) and El trueno en la ciudad (1987). Drawing on this reading, the author reflects on the relationship between revolutionary myth and the experience of the Guatemalan guerrilla movement.
