Abstract

A review of La APPO: ¿rebelión o movimiento social?, coordinated by Víctor Raúl Martínez Vásquez. In 2006, Oaxaca was the epicenter of a sociopolitical earthquake that shook the structures of the political regime, leaving cracks that three years later still make the apparatus of domination creak. Cracks—to follow John Holloway’s metaphor—through which the political regime appears not only as hermetic domination but also as resistance, refusal, struggle and countless protest mobilizations.
