The purpose of this work is to approach Lenin’s line of thought on the issue of technique, by focusing on the analysis of two aspects of social reality which are differentiated but at the same time inseparable: the “technical” state apparatus and the Taylorist system. It is argued that the Bolshevik leader’s perception of technique is impregnated with instrumentalism and neutrality, to the point of reifying the possibility of using the bourgeois state mechanisms of registry and control, as well as the Taylorist innovations, for revolutionary purposes in the construction of the communist society. Although it is we who are the true culprits of the systematic murder performed every day in capitalist society, it goes without saying that the knifetekhne should also be condemned as the co-author (or at least for being undeniably responsible); however, to lead it to the dock could prove somewhat problematic.
