Abstract

Introduction to issue 2 of Bajo el Volcán. The issue pays tribute to William Roseberry and brings together works on the institutional left and the social left, globalization and social movements in Europe, space and hegemony in Puebla, religion and the EZLN in Chiapas, family farming, the armed conflict in Guatemala, the militarization of public security in Mexico, class, and foreign debt, as well as three book reviews.
