In June 2011, Fabricio Sandoval was the delegate for the department of Valle to the General Assembly of the FNRP and also a delegate to the Intermediate Assembly. He was also a leader of the Broad University Movement (Movimiento Amplio Universitario), a prominent student movement at the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH).
