Abstract

Introduction to issue 13 of Bajo el Volcán, devoted to neoliberal globalization in Latin America and the concepts and practices that serve domination. Forty years after 1968, the issue also brings together reflections on the crisis of abstract labour, class struggle and historical discontinuity, the casualization of university work, populism, Foucault and war, the Marxist notion of class, and the public use of history in Guatemala.
