Migration, nation and democracy

In this article, the author argues that the relation between migration, nation and democracy must be understood in the context of a complex emerging reality: that of the transnational reconfiguration and the flows of population which, in addition to unleashing an economic dynamic without precedents, is making an impact on the institutional and symbolic referents identified with the nation state.
