Abstract

Introduction to issue 12 of Bajo el Volcán. The issue brings together works on recent Latin American political processes—the Bolivarian revolution in Venezuela, Kirchnerism in Argentina, the Frente Amplio government in Uruguay, anti-poverty policies in Mexico and the Popular Assembly of the Peoples of Oaxaca—as well as on migration and nation, the idea of Europe in Italian radical thought, the problem of waste, and death in Marx’s work.
