Intergalactic visions from the Sixth Declaration of the Lacandon Jungle

Abstract

Within the political campaign promoted by the EZLN’s Sixth Declaration of the Lacandon Jungle, an important international space has opened, articulated around the call for a meeting of the various anti-capitalist resistance movements. To understand the scope of the EZLN’s current proposal within the field of social movements, we must recall the process that led to the emergence of a global neo-Zapatista movement since the first Intergalactic Encounter held in Chiapas in 1996.
