A reflection on Enrique Dussel’s ethics of liberation by a long-time friend who shared with him the years of youth in Mendoza, Argentina, the Latin American Philosophy Seminar and the experience of exile after the 1976 military coup. The text recalls that shared trajectory and comments on the contributions of Dussel’s work.
