Almost ten years after the San Andrés Accords, and departing from San Cristóbal de las Casas, the old colonial city taken at dawn on New Year’s Day 1994, an unarmed EZLN delegation will tour the entire national territory. Unlike the March of the Color of the Earth, this Zapatista journey does not seek to demand recognition of Indigenous rights from State institutions. Its interlocutors and purposes are different: to meet the Mexican people in order to talk, organize and build, “from below and for those below”, a national program of anti-capitalist struggle common to all.
