Abstract

The struggle against apartheid was a struggle of many refusals against a system based on inequality and exploitation, that was able to uphold a social common in access to the basic services necessary for life. This short paper explores the erosion of this social common under neoliberalism and struggles that emerge to defend it in post-apartheid South Africa.
