Abstract

This work consists of two interviews on postwar projects carried out in San Salvador, El Salvador, in June 1998. The first is with Mauricio Chávez, who took part in the Peace Accords negotiations on behalf of the FMLN, and Henrietta Shannon, protagonists in the creation of the Peace Center (CEPAZ). The second is with Carlos Henríquez Consalvi (“Santiago”), a Venezuelan journalist who during the civil war was the main announcer of Radio Venceremos, one of the FMLN’s two clandestine radio stations, broadcasting from the guerrilla-controlled zones.
