This article presents a series of approximations to theme of time and radical social transformation. It is argued that the capital form implies a determined temporality and that the time of the state is part of that form. Following Walter Benjamin, a link is established between linear time, instrumental rationality and capitalist modernity, so that the notion of revolution implies the breaking and radical transformation of the time inscribed in the concept of progress.
