This article addresses the relationship between memory and the subject, taking as its point of reflection the discourse—or rather the discourses—of Zapatismo. The first part raises some issues about memory, history and citizenship, not in order to define things but to reflect on alternative forms of political sensibility that open a field for theoretical discussion. The second part poses the same question in the form of provisional theses, with a greater degree of abstraction, incorporating mediation and citizenship into the discussion of the subject and memory.
