Abstract

In the misery of our time, the negation of capital appears outdated and meaningless. By contrast, a constructive critique of capital is suggested, aimed at humanizing the conditions of existence under capitalism. Following Marx’s critique of political economy, this essay argues that such a politics of humanization is deceptive and that a radical critique of the conditions that dehumanize human relations is necessary.
