In December 2001 a spontaneous insurrection took place in Argentina, synthesizing and subsuming the struggles carried out by different classes and class fractions since December 1993. It is a milestone in the development of popular struggle, although it is too early to say whether it opens a new historical period succeeding the counter-revolutionary period that began in the mid-1970s. The outcome of the process is not yet clear, while the ruling class prepares its counter-offensive.
