The insurrection of December 19 and 20, 2001 was of a new type: without leaders or centralized organizations, but also without a program, promises or model of what the future should be. It brought about a destitution of the autonomy of the political. A new social protagonism emerges, in light of which it is possible to discuss and rework the theoretical theses of the controversial book Empire (Hardt and Negri). The challenge of counter-power in the face of militarization is to take on war as a way of preventing it.
